Kindergarten Registration for 2017-18 School Year

The Nutley Public School District offers a free, full-day kindergarten program for residents of Nutley. Children must be five years of age by October 1 of that school year.  Kindergarten registration for September 2017 begins the week of March 6, 2017. Registration will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 through Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. daily in the Nutley High School Cafeteria. Prior to registration, parents or guardians must complete all forms in the registration packet, complete the on-line registration form.

March 6 - Lincoln & Radcliffe School Zones
March 7 - Spring Garden & Yantacaw
March 8 - Washington
March 9 & 10 - NHS Transfers and Any School Zone

No appointment necessary during these dates.

Healthy and Safe Snack List

Nutley schools are committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for our students. Due to the increase in food allergies, childhood obesity and Type ll Diabetes we ask that you please abide by the following guideline which offers health conscience options and protects our students with food allergies.

All treats/snacks must be STORE BOUGHT and brought to school in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING. The ingredients must be listed on the package. Treats/snacks containing peanuts, tree nuts, or nut products MAY NOT be sent to school.  Before you bring a treat/snack to school please consult your child’s teacher or school nurse for any specific restrictions.  Please refer to the list below for some acceptable snack options.  Ingredients of packaged goods change frequently, therefore to find an acceptable peanut free/tree nut free brand please refer to www.snacksafely.com before purchasing a class snack. 

  • Goldfish (original)
  • Mini Muffins (store packaged) labeled made in a peanut/nut free facility
  • Popcorn (also gluten free)
  • Pretzels
  • Fruits and Vegetables – (apple slices, applesauce, baby carrots, orange slices)*
  • Water only

NO HOMEMADE ITEMS

*Please call or email your child’s teacher or school nurse to ask about    any fruit or vegetable restrictions.
