By June 2017, the district will have in place a detailed, efficient, and technology-based system of communication that allows for multiple avenues of information and the involvement of all stakeholders in ensuring and measuring student success.
Year Four Goal:
By June 2016, the Communcation Team will utilize the results of the parent communication survey to improve upon all district- wide efforts via exisiting platforms, including increased use of teacher websites.
Year Three Goal:
By June 2015 the Communication Committee will conduct an evaluation of existing and possible additional communication platforms and increase parent awareness.
Year Two Goals:
By June 2014 the Communication Committee will increase staff visibility on district website & school sites, increase parent familiarity with portal functionality and offerings, collect and gather proper parent contact information on a consistent basis, train elementary principals on use of School Messenger for notifications, and provide more Information Night Meetings.
Year One Goal:
By June 2013, the Communication Committee will utilize surveys and focus group discussions, identify the variety of communication needs across the district and develop a seamless plan that integrates existing technologies to meet these needs. This work will culminate with a presentation to the full Board of Education.
