USIIAPSummer Banner

The summer assignment is to complete the document-based question below, and to also read Dr. Martin Luther King's Letter from Birmingham City Jail. Upon completing the reading, students should compose a short one page reaction to the reading, focusing on Dr. King's rationale for civil disobedience, as well as why this letter is often ranked as one of the great American documents.

The response to the DBQ should be three pages long. All relevant documents and outside sources should be cited. You will be asked to submit your response to Turnitin.com when you return in September.

All of the documents are in .pdf format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is included on most computers. Any student who needs the Reader can click on the icon for a free download.
