Yes, it's true!  We're reading!!  We're reading stories from our readers as well as level books.  In phonics, we're working on the short vowel sounds, and in math we've started addition.  We've been very busy.  But, it's not all work.  On Friday, October 10th, we visited Heaven Hills Farm in Vernon, N.J.  There, we saw farm animals, picked pumpkins, went on a hayride, and watched pig races.  We also had a nice picnic lunch.  We had a great day.  First grade is fun!!
