We are in the swing of things in third grade!  Everyone is busy working on improving their writing skills.  A great effort is being made by all!  Be on the lookout for some"exciting writing" in your child's work folder and in the hallway at school!  In math, we are all exploring the wonderful world of place value!   Did you know that a can of Spaghetti-O's has about 1,750 O's in it?  Stay tuned for other interesting facts from your third grader involving large numbers!

The third grade recently enjoyed a fabulous day at Turtle Back Zoo courtesy of our Essex County Executive, Mr. Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr.  It was a wonderful opportunity to learn many amazing facts about animal classification, habitats, and unique characteristics.  To top it off, we had beautiful weather!  It was a great day for all!
