Mrs. Batson, Mr. Ferriol, Mrs. Vlasakakis

The sixth graders have been busy adjusting to a new year with greater responsibilities.  We have been reviewing our mathematical skills, grammar and writing skills, geography skills, and also have been discussing plant and animal cells.  In reading, we are in the process of digesting many interesting novels, such as Maniac Magee, Stargirl, The Shadow Club, and The House of Dies Drear.  At the same time, we have been preparing for middle school by getting acquainted with a new vocabulary series, which will continue throughout the middle and high schools.
       
As you can tell, we have been working hard.  We are ready for that hard work to pay off.  We are looking forward to an educational and fun-filled trip to Fairview Lake Camp, Oct. 15-17.  We have waited many years for this trip, and it is finally here - Hooray!  Have a happy and festive autumn season.
