Principal’s Message

The Washington School is committed to serving the students. We stand together to continue to build a solid foundation for the children in all areas. With our efforts and your support and cooperation, we can together strive to enhance the 96 year tradition of excellence at the Washington School.

Many parents often ask how can I help my child to succeed in school. Parental involvement in the daily demands of school is vital to the development of a child. Parents’ sincere interest in homework and developing strong study skills is also valuable in your child’s educational career. The most important thing a parent can do is model reading for your child and have your child read to you. Developing a love of reading unlocks the door to future learning.

The overall ambiance at Washington School and the quality of the instruction are enhanced as we develop a concordant relationship among the children, parents, teachers and community.
Sincerely,
Douglas T. Jones
