Earth Day Resources-Projects

Earth Day-Every Day

Here are resources I gathered on Earth Day. The videos are from PBS Kids and Discovery Education and would appeal to the K-3 students.  While gathering these resources I  came across the tie in with Earth Day and financial literacy.  Some of the videos speak to Needs and Wants and make a connection between our Wants and preserving the Earth.
Forward any additional resources you want to see added to this page.

Nature Works Everywhere

How Nature Works booklet of ideas for students.

PBS -Video Reduce, Reuse, RecycleNatural resources are raw materials that we obtain from the environment
and use in many different ways. By reviewing the concept of "needs vs. wants," students begin to consider their role in using natural resources. Students will watch the LOOP SCOOPS videos "Garbage" and "Magazines," prompting discussion about how they can help protect Earth's natural resources by reducing the amount of materials they use, reusing materials when possible, and recycling.
