Kindergarten (Please label everything)

  • Lunch box
  • Backpack (big enough to fit a folder and a lunchbox)
  • Folder
  • Good quality glue sticks for sharing
  • Small container for clay (name on it)
  • Old t-shirt for art class
  • 1 container of Lysol wipes
  • 1 container of Baby wipes
  • Box of yellow #2 pencils (for sharing)
  • Box of Crayola crayons (8 or 16 pack)
  • Box of tissues
  • Package of crackers/pretzels (for sharing)
  • 1 or 2 Expo Dry Erase Markers (black)
  • 1 Box of Ziploc Bags

 

First Grade

  • Backpack (no wheels)
  • Lunch Box (if needed with name)
  • 1 folder with pockets (sturdy) and labeled
  • Old adult t-shirt/art shirt in a Ziploc bag labeled
  • 2 containers of Play-doh - labeled

The following Items should be placed in labeled zippered pencil case.

For communal use (do not label):

  • 3 boxes of pre-sharpened Ticonderoga #2 pencils
  • 1 package of Post-It notes or 1 pack of index cards (4” x 6”)

  • 5 large glue sticks (good quality)
  • 4 Black LOW ODOR dry erase markers

Second Grade

  • 1-Pack of BLACK Dry Erase (EXPO) markers (low odor)
  • 3-Packs of glue sticks with 5 or more sticks in the pack
  • 3-Boxes of Number 2 Ticonderoga pencils
  • 1-Box of 16-24 count crayons
  • 1-Pack of pink square erasers

About

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include Lincoln School, Radcliffe School, Spring Garden School, Washington School and Yantacaw School. John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12.
