Referendum Town Hall Meetings Scheduled

Two Town Hall meetings have been scheduled to provide the Nutley community with information on the November 6th referendum regarding construction projects to four of our district schools: Yantacaw, Washington, JHWMS, and NHS. All community members are welcome to attend. The presentation is available here.

Jed Baker to Speak at Washington School: November 6

Please join the Nutley Public Schools on Tuesday, November 6th at 6pm at Washington School for a presentation by Jed Baker, “Positive Approaches to Managing Frustration, Anxiety and Teaching Executive Control Functioning Skills.”

Jed Baker, Ph.D. is the director of the Social Skills Training Project, an organization serving individuals with autism and social communication problems.

This workshop describes how to design effective behavior plans to prevent frustration and anxiety. Key skills to cope with both emotional and academic challenges will be discussed. Pizza will be provided.

The 8th grade Digital Production students wrote, produced, recorded and edited podcasts for their first project.

Referendum Website Updated

In an effort to provide up-to-date and accurate information on the November 6, 2018 referendum, the Referendum page of our district website has been updated with a new Frequently Asked Question document and updated building drawings. 


The Nutley Board of Education hereby notifies all parents, students, employees and staff that the activities required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) 40 CFR, Part 763.93 have been fulfilled.  These requirements include the Three Year Re-Inspection and assessments of the asbestos containing materials located within the facilities utilized by the Nutley Board of Education.  A copy of the updated AHERA Management Plan document is currently available for review at the Main Office of the facility.  Please direct any further questions to Mr. Philip Nicolette at (973) 661-8813.
