Community Members,
You have chosen to live and pay taxes here in Nutley. The work that we do as a school district impacts the community. You expect us to be equal partners in this with you, communicating and collaborating so that together we best serve our students and this community as a whole. The question is: How do you think we're doing?
We are currently engaged in the process of strategic planning, a process that will set our goals for the next five or more years. It is a process that will help us improve how we serve your children, you, and the community.
Please take advantage of the attached, anonymous survey to give us your feedback on how we are supporting your needs and, most importantly, the needs of our students. Also, please stay involved in this process by checking in on this website and following my reports to the Board of Education.
As always, I can be reached at rlazovick@nutleyschools.org.

More Than Sad is an educational program to educate parents on adolescent/teen depression. The program’s goals include the following:
(1) To recognize the signs and symptoms of depression.
(2) To convey the de-stigmatizing notion that depression is an illness that, just like any other medical illness, responds to specific treatments.
(3) To promote the importance and acceptability of seeking help for oneself or a friend.
(4) To demystify the treatment process by showing how teens can get help for depression, what treatment involves and what it can achieve.
