Due to the forecasted weather for tomorrow evening, a state of emergency has been declared beginning at 5PM on Tuesday, January 9th . With high winds and a significant amount of rain expected, the district will close all facilities at 5PM tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th. 

 

We are asking families, who utilize Extended Day, to keep this in mind and if possible pick up their child at the earliest possible time. Nutley High School gymnasium will close, following the scheduled varsity basketball game. All evening activities and practices will be canceled. For all other athletic events, please check the website and/or notifications. 

 

As the storm develops, we will monitor the conditions into Wednesday morning, and update as needed. Stay safe.

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include Lincoln School, Radcliffe School, Spring Garden School, Washington School and Yantacaw School. John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12.
