Board Goals 2023-24

1. By June 2024, the district will define and describe a consistent approach to behavior and attendance, based on situational and developmentally appropriate best practices that include preventative, supportive and corrective accountability.

2. By June 2024, the district will strategically support middle level learners through fostering independence and creating a transition to advanced educational pathways.

3.By June 2024, the district will grow and  leverage the intervention and referral team to support students.

4. By June 2024, the district will collaborate with local, state and national organizations as well as expand internal resources to enhance current procedures and identify new methods of security, while continuing to promote the philosophy of “see something, say something.”

5. By June 2024, the district will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, plan, and execute a memorandum of understanding and pass a referendum to improve facilities that support the district vision.

About

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include Lincoln School, Radcliffe School, Spring Garden School, Washington School and Yantacaw School. John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12.
