Dear Washington School Families,

In an effort to enhance the lunch program, Pomptonian will no longer have students pre ordering lunch beginning October 1, 2019.  Each day students will be able to select from a wide variety of menu choices that will still include a hot choice, a sandwich selection, Bagel/muffin fun lunch, farmers stand produce, milk and other items.  Students will be using their ID tag to secure their lunch each day.

Payment Options

Two ways to pay.   Parents can pay for lunch by loading credit on their child’s account using My School Bucks.  The My School Bucks link can be found on the district website by selecting the Parents tab and then the Food Services section.

Parents may also send cash or check in a sealed envelope with your child’s name, grade and teacher on the envelope to add money to your child/children’s accounts. (Checks should be made payable to the Nutley Board of Education).

Forgotten Lunch

The Nutley School District understands that from time to time students may forget their lunch or use up all their prepaid monies.  The school district’s policy regarding meal charging is to allow your child to charge up to three (3) regular meals. The full policy #8550 can be found on the website.

We hope this change will make the lunch time more enjoyable and streamlined for the children.

Sincerely,

Douglas Jones, Principal
