I provide health-related training to our staff and educate the children on dental care, hand washing, body safety and growth and puberty for our older students. I assist parents by referring students to healthcare providers or resources as needed.
About me and my nursing career: I have been a nurse for almost 35 years and have worked as a certified school nurse for 20 of those years encompassing grade levels from preschool through high school. My experience in nursing includes OB/GYN hospital nursing at Saint Barnabas Medical center where I helped deliver many children , Occupational and community health In the Federal Building in Newark NJ, patient educator for Matria infusion home care, Maternal-fetal medicine nursing and hospital perinatal nursing coordination. I have also worked with summer camp and special needs ESY positions.
I am a licensed professional Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, and a School Nurse Certification.
