Last week, the Nutley Public Schools took part in Sandy Hook Promise’s “Start with Hello." The annual program raises awareness and educates students about social isolation and how to create a connected and inclusive classroom, school, and community.

The ELL students at Lincoln School wrote "hello" in their native language. Other students colored happy faces, one class made an inclusive tree activity and wrote on hands how to include other. Other students wrote positives notes to teachers and their classmates.

Remember this week and always that kindness matters.
