The Nutley Raider Football team will kick off its first official night game under permanent lights this Thursday, September 1stagainst their crosstown rival, Bloomfield High School. This will mark the first time in school history that the Raiders will play a full contact football game under the new permanent lights at Tangorra Field.

Adding to the excitement of the evening, the NHS Athletic Department will honor the 1992 State Championship team as this marks the 30-year anniversary of the Raiders last state championship.

All spectators and visitors are reminded that the no bag policy will be in effect for the entire game.  Visitors are encouraged to arrive “bag free” or with a clear bag, where items can be visible at the gate.

“This will be a historic night for our community, our school and our football program,” Joe Piro, NHS Athletic Director said. “It is only fitting that we honor the 1992 State Champions.”
