This past weekend the North Jersey School Music Association held auditions for the North Jersey Region 1 Honors Ensembles and I am pleased to announce that we had twenty-three (23) students be accepted into choral groups!

This is the highest number of students accepted from the Nutley School District in the history of the North Jersey School Music Association regional choral ensembles and these results placed Nutley as the second most represented school districts in the entire North Jersey region for this school year (only being two students short of the number one spot).

Below are the names of the twenty-three (23) students that helped us achieve these feats:

Makayla Albert (10th Grade)
Samantha Alper (10th Grade)
Alexandra Amiths (10th Grade)
Cameron Anderson (10th Grade)
Matthew Blanchard (11th Grade)
Noah Blasiak (9th Grade)
Lincoln Boyes (10th Grade)
Bethany Duffy (9th Grade)
Arada Buddhani (12th Grade)
Veronica Daniels (10th Grade)
Abigail Elphick (10th Grade)
Antonella Franco (9th Grade)
Samuel Guanzon (10th Grade)
Alexis Guevara (11th Grade)
Gabriella Gustoso (12th Grade)
Alexis Hamlin (11th Grade)
John McGuire (11th Grade)
Jonathan Monterosa (11th Grade)
Emerson Morales (10th Grade)
Brandon Mui (11th Grade)
Haley Papeo (10th Grade)
Alekaii Rosado (11th Grade)
Sean Gregory Santos (12th Grade)

*Students in bold were ranked in the top 10 of their auditioned voice part in North Jersey (Region 1).
*Students that are bolded and highlighted in YELLOW were ranked as the number one audition for their voice part in North Jersey (Region 1).
*The student bolded and highlighted in GREEN was ranked the number one audition for their voice part AND received the best overall score in all of North Jersey (Region 1).

Considering there was a total of 398 students that registered to audition for this year's ensemble, these are incredibly impressive stats and I wanted to make sure the NHS Administration were made aware of the outstanding work happening in the music wing via our choral students!

Congratulations to all! Job well done!
