As you may be aware, the district recently learned important information pertaining to the finances of the district. Upon learning this information, District officials reported the financial concerns to the appropriate State officials and the New Jersey Department of Education. The District is working closely with State officials to resolve our current financial issues.

There is much misinformation in the community regarding the financial condition of the District. Please be assured that the District currently has the financial capacity to operate in the short and long term.

The district is committed to maintaining the high quality of education in the Nutley Public Schools. It is important to prioritize our students' learning and care. We are committed to the education of our students, and will work through these challenges to support our educational community.

As this situation continues to unfold, we will communicate with you on a regular basis.

Thank you.
