SUPPLY LIST – 2025/2026

 
 

Kindergarten

Please label the following:

Lunch box 

Backpack 

Folder with bottom pockets

2 containers of Playdoh

Reusable Water Bottle

4 boxes of Crayola Crayons 16 or 24 pack only

(Please no twistables, scented crayons, etc)

1 change of clothes to keep in their backpack.

1 hard pencil case

1 smock to keep in your backpack.

 

For Communal Use (do not label):

1 container of Lysol wipes

1 container of Baby wipes

1 Box of tissues

2 boxes of Number 2 Ticonderoga 

Pre-sharpened Pencils

1 Box of Ziploc Bags 

2 packs of black Expo Markers

2 packages  of the large Elmers glue sticks

 

First Grade

-Backpack (no wheels)

-Lunch Box (if needed) with name

-1 sturdy folder with bottom pockets & name

-3 containers of Play-doh standard size (not mini)  with name.

-Water bottle (leak proof) with name

The following Items should be placed in a soft  ZIPPERED PENCIL case with your child’s name. (BIG ENOUGH TO HOLD ALL THEIR ITEMS.)

NO HARD PLASTIC PENCIL CASES PLEASE.

  • 1 box of Crayons (24 pack)
  • Only 12 thin markers-(crayola washable)
  • 1 pack of 4 rectangular erasers
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 2 glue sticks 

For communal use (no names- will be collected)

  • 4 highlighters (different colors)
  • 3 boxes of pre-sharpened Ticonderoga #2 pencils
  • 12  large glue sticks (good quality)
  • 4 black thick dry erase markers
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 2 containers of Wet Ones 
  • 4 containers of Clorox/ Lysol wipes
  • 3 boxes of crayons (24 pack)
  • 1 bottleElmers glue liquid
  • 3 packs of colored post its

Second Grade

  • Backpack –*Please label everything*
  • 1 – 1”- 3-ring binder
  • 2 -1 subject spiral notebooks (Wide Rule)
  • 1 Box of 24 count crayons (only 24)
  • 1 Pair of scissors
  • 1 -Container of Playdoh
  • 1-Smock (name inside)
  • 4 folders w/2 pockets (1 green, 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 student choice)

 

For communal use (do not label): 

  • 2 Packs of 4 of BLACK Dry Erase (EXPO) markers (low odor)
  • 1 Pack of glue sticks with 12 or more sticks in the pack
  • 1 Box of Number 2 Ticonderoga pencils-24 count
  • 2-Boxes of tissues
  • 2 Containers of Clorox Wipes (BOYS ONLY) 
  • 2 Containers/packs of hand wipes (GIRLS ONLY)
  • 1 Package of square/rectangular erasers-Not the pencil top type
  • 1 Spiral bound index card book (3x5), either ruled or unruled

Third Grade

LABELED

-1 subject spiral notebook - spanish

-1 inch 3 ring hard cover binder

-Zippered pencil case that can be easily stored in desk 

-1 highlighter 

-1 pack of 24 crayons

-Wired headphones labeled and in ziplock bag

Fourth Grade

Math:  1 one subject notebook 

Science/Social Studies 1 two subject notebook

Readers & WritersWorkshop:  Two single subject notebooks. 

Spanish: 1 single subject notebook

 

5 multi colored folders with pockets

Ticonderoga sharpened pencils  - send 2 boxes (total of 24 pencil) per student

Small pencil sharpeners 

1 eraser or a small package of eraser tops

Erasable pens – blue/black ink only

A pack of expo markers for whiteboards

1 Black Sharpie Marker

Zippered pencil case that can easily be stored in desk

Sixth Grade

  • 1 extra folder for notices, etc. 
  • 1 package of blue/black erasable pens    
  • 1 pack of #2 pencils-NO MECHANICAL PENCILS PLEASE!
  • 1 pack of colored pens
  • 1 pack of multi-colored highlighters          
  • 2 packs of 3x3 Post-its                              
  • 1 pack of EXPO markers
  • 1 pair of Inexpensive headphones/earbuds
  • 3 boxes of tissues   
  • 1 container of Lysol/Clorox Wipes           
  • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer (non-scented) 

         Please note that children do not need to have the entire box of pens, pencils, highlighters, EXPO markers etc. with them at all times.  Just send in a few of each in the zipper case and replenish as needed.

About

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include Lincoln School, Radcliffe School, Spring Garden School, Washington School and Yantacaw School. John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12.
