Key Dates & Reminders:

  • First Day: Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

  • Early Dismissal: The first two days are half days,12:30 PM dismissal.  There will be Extended Day.

  • Long Weekend: There is no school on Friday, September 4, 2026.

  • Class Assignments: Keep an eye on the Parent Portal, which will open closer to September.

Unless specified, please send your child with their supplies on the first day (just keep in mind that teachers might request a few tweaks later on).

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include Lincoln School, Radcliffe School, Spring Garden School, Washington School and Yantacaw School. John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12.
